The human capacity to cope with adversity is extraordinary and this is no more apparent than in counselling.  Gail can easily say that the most she has learned in her career as a counsellor, are from her clients. What motivates her above all else is that it is immensely rewarding to take part in someone’s recovery. Gail believes it is a privilege to be able to help them discover how to do it, especially those who have almost given up hope.  She also believes recovery is very personal and sees working in a partnership as essential in terms of really understanding someone’s problems and helping them choose what is best for them.

Gail aims to deliver her services with cultural sensitivity and without discrimination in a supportive and confidential environment that allows for open and non-judgemental communication.  As an integrative counsellor, using a variety of approaches and working flexibly, Gail recognises that one of the most important components of therapeutic efficacy is the relationship between therapist and client and priorities the therapeutic alliance along with empathy and authenticity, where you can freely express and explore your thoughts and feelings.  Gail is passionate about empowerment and changing lives.

Alongside her practice, Gail is a wife and a mother to a beautiful daughter and two amazing stepsons. Gail volunteers as a supervisor and listener to a Bereavement Support Group for her local community since 2009.
