About
Working in the financial industry since 1987, I began in the municipal bond business when the 10-year Treasury bond was hovering around 9%, and completed my last trade when it was at 2.17%. Trading everything inbetween in the muni bond world, with all the ups and downs of the market, I underwrote new issues and participated in investment banking, loving every minute of it. As the Head National Underwriter bidding on national syndicates and underwriting hundreds of millions of debt for municipalities across the country, I managed three phones at once with twenty salespeople trying to file orders with me. While underwriting, I noticed a large population of friends, family, neighbors and acquaintances who appeared lost at the slightest mention of financial terms, which birthed my desire to bring financial literacy to everyone. I quickly changed careers and achieved my CFP designation to begin serving others through financial planning. I hold a BA in Public Administration from Drake University, and hold the professional designations CFP (Certified Financial Planner), and CDFA (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst). I have lived in Glen Ellyn, IL most of my life, and married my high school sweetheart, Nick. We have four awesome kids Peter, Gus, Sophie and Lily, and they are my greatest accomplishment.
