Banks County Barrow County Gwinnett County Jackson County Legal Lawyer- Divorce and Family Law

About

I have been involved in every aspect of a family law case from the inside. I am a child of divorced parents. I have been divorced, and am remarried. I have had a Guardian ad Litem make a report on my family. I understand what clients are going through. My goal is always to build the best future for my clients and their families, with a focus on practical, low conflict solutions.

I give my clients real advice based on my personal experience, and years of helping people resolve their situations, both inside and outside of the Courtroom.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

I am committed to helping my local community. I created the Family Law Information Class taught at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in partnership with Gwinnett Legal Aid in 2015. This class was created to help people represent themselves in a family law case, because I know that attorneys are expensive, and not everyone can afford them. I still help teach the class. I am a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars – helping teach my fellow attorneys – for family law matters. I was appointed by the Supreme Court of Georgia as a mentor for new attorneys through the Transition into Law Practice Program.

I was the President of the Gwinnett County Bar Association in 2020 – 2021, and served in many leadership roles before that.  I am presently the Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Section. I am a current member of the Charles Longstreet Weltner Inn of Court.  In 2014, I was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Atlanta Legal Aid Society for my work with the Gwinnett Pro Bono Project and Gwinnett Legal Aid.  In 2017, I was recognized by Atlanta Legal Aid for providing more than 50 pro bono hours to the Gwinnett Pro Bono Project, which is part of Atlanta Legal Aid. In 2015, I was selected to participate in the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers (GAWL) Leadership Academy Class. I was on the founding board that brought the Gwinnett Chapter for Georgia Association for Women Lawyers back, and served as Secretary for two terms.
