About
Kristine Fletcher represents clients in all facets of family law, where she believes empathy and creativity can prevent many expensive battles in the courtroom. She always seeks swift, cost-effective resolution of issues. When alternatives have been exhausted, Kristine represents her clients zealously in litigation. She bears a unique perspective, having represented parties on many sides of disputes in both the Juvenile and Superior courts.
She provides services to the community as a divorce and family law mediator, facilitating resolutions to cases before they reach a courtroom, and also as a Guardian ad Litem, serving the best interests of children in contested cases before the Superior and Juvenile Courts.
Having begun her career with a small family law firm in Cherokee County, Kristine represented men and women as marriages came to an end or family law issues were litigated. She also represented parents and children in dependency proceedings before the Juvenile Court when children were removed from their homes. Kristine then worked for a different small firm in Canton, where she represented clients in family law matters and represented the local child welfare agency as a prosecutor in dependency proceedings before the Juvenile Court. She is admitted to practice in all the state trial courts of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
Kristine Fletcher graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate at the Georgia State University College of Law. Kristine is registered as a mediator in Georgia with the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution with registration in the areas of domestic relations, domestic violence and arbitration. She is also trained in Collaborative Divorce through the Collaborative Law Institute of Georgia.
