A California attorney since 2004, Scott has guided more than 2,500 mediations. He helps couples resolve divorce and legal separation, parenting plans, child and spousal support, and the division of assets and debts. His financial work includes house buyouts, retirement accounts, business interests and stock compensation. His approach is Clarity First. Then Negotiation: participants understand the information and their options before making decisions.
For parents who would benefit from additional communication and parenting support, Scott offers co-mediation with Mary Levin, a Certified Co-Parenting Specialist. Scott also provides prenuptial agreement mediation, drafting and review.
In mediation, Scott serves as a neutral and represents neither spouse individually. Through separate engagements in matters his firm is not mediating, he also provides consulting-attorney advice and individual divorce financial analysis.
